Recent developments and New Tutorial Releases
Merry Christmas 2009 Well, another year has passed us by, I hope it has been as good as possible for you and your loved ones. We won't go into to much detail here on the details of the year itself, we'll hold that back for a few days. After all the New Year approaches. All we'll say is, take some time to enjoy the holidays (if you observe them) and to refill those batteries for another year ahead. Christmas is a time for meeting up with family and friends, and being thankful for all that we have. Please pull a cracker for us, sip a drink, nibble a mince pie, and above all, relax and enjoy yourselves. We'll see you again in a few days after some R&R at CGA central. Over and out for now....

General News Makes Its Debut On CG Academy Traditionally we have only posted CG Academy news here. You know, when we have a new release hitting the shelves, or a new feature being added to the website. But from today, we will also be posting general CG news. So, if you have any CG stories, please post them to us at news(at)cg-academy.net and we'll see if we can get it posted here. If you do post a story, please take the time, to sand a description of the news, a link to where you found that news item, and ideally an image as an attachment. Of course, if the URL takes us to a page with a suitable story image, don't waste your time sending an image. We'll do it ourselves. Hope you like the new feature... Chris T

Animation Fundamentals 2: Adding Character Has Been Released! Simon Thistletwaite's Core Principles introduced many budding 3dsmax animators to the exciting world of CG animation. So many of CG Academy's customers need to take their models and bring them to life, or at the very least make them move in a realistic manner. Simon's first tutorial armed you with just those skills. In this new release, Adding Character, Simon pushes on to teach you about Character Animation, which is something he does on a day to day basis in holywood blockbusters .....

Animation Fundamentals 1 The first installment in what we hope will be an extensive series on the art of Animation (3dsmax). This first title focusses on pure animation i.e. what it takes to make something move in a realistic manner. We have designed this title to lay down a solid foundation, upon which future titles that teach character animation will build. You can check out the DVD and more info on this system via the link below........
